The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is SRD to reach-out to some higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie here and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area website on a regular basis. The provider level developed for intervention experiences a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to allow the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
